Sponsorship and Life Now

Okay, well I didn't get that Altra sponsorship. Which is a shame because I really wanted it and I already promote their product, but I'll keep training and keep using their shoe, because I love it, and I'll keep promoting their product because I love it!

I am being surrounded this summer by people who love working out and running, and my passion is coming back. I really miss my bicycle. I need to name it. I don't even know if it is a boy or a girl, or if it should just have a generic pet name like 'Midnight.'

...actually, I remember I did name it! I call her 'Honey Boo-Boo.' Why?!? That is an awful name, an awful show, and that kid is clearly not in shape. Well, you see, Honey Boo-Boo is my aluminum frame trek WSD 2.1 (I think it is a 2.1) with Reynolds Carbon Fiber Wheels. Needed a somewhat white trash name.

Anywhoo, an update of my life- I'm thinking of doing the KC Marathon. I'd do the half. I'd follow this training plan. Look at me adding links and stuff, I must be serious!

I'll be working at a new job this fall, and so that will keep me very busy. But I'm determined now. Life will ALWAYS get in the way. This needs to be a priority. My plan is to wake up early to train in the morning early early early (maybe in the dark?) and then go to school. If I miss, I can go after school. I'm very close to Forest Park now! There is a shower very close to my office IN THE BUILDING. No excuses! Plus my gym membership is 10 dollars a month, and they have a shower, too and they are on the way to work as well. I seriously CANNOT skimp on my training this time. It is for my mental well-being! My teeth grinding is awful these days and I have trouble sleeping. I think if I train more, especially long runs to focus on something else, or maybe think about my life, things will improve. Isn't that why people love running?

Maybe I'll finally get there.

Day 1 of a New Thing

My name is Sarah and I am starting this blog to get more dedicated to my training and in hopes to become an Altra Zero Drop ambassador. After talking to people all the time about how much I love these shoes, I decided to try to become an ambassador so I am encouraged to do this even more. I feel I would be a good representative of the company and I think I live a "racing" lifestyle.

I did not train today. I wanted to, but I think I am coming down with another sinus infection. I'm headed to bed soon after napping all day after work. I think tomorrow I'll bring my Altras to school and run with a teacher after school. Hopefully it will wake me up and I'll be able to make it to Crossfit after that. My Altras also work great for Crossfit; I see a few people wearing them there!

Have a great night!
